These programs are essential for keeping our state's medical infrastructure strong. In addition, they will help keep healthcare costs down by reducing the need for out-of-state medical care.

Our student-teacher ratio is among the worst in the country, and overcrowding is making it difficult for our children to get the attention they need from teachers. We need higher standards for our schools, and we need to make sure that money is being spent wisely.
